UniSC Clinics are open to the public and provide services that are overseen by appropriately qualified and experienced professionals while providing opportunities for students to gain practical experience at various stages of their studies. Our clinics are committed to providing the highest quality service while providing an excellent learning environment for students.
Nutrition and Dietetics
The Nutrition and Dietetic Clinic is available to UniSC staff and students, as well as the general public. The service is delivered by students supervised by an accredited professional providing clients with individualised nutrition advice according to evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. The consultations are free to attend.
The clinic is located at the UniSC Sunshine Coast Campus, with telehealth appointments available.
Occupational Therapy
The UniSC Living Well Occupational Therapy Clinic is a training clinic for undergraduate occupational therapy students. The clinic provides Occupational therapy programs to the Sunshine Coast community at no cost.
Psychology
The Psychology Clinic provides mental health services to the community and also functions as an advanced teaching, training and research facility for postgraduate students (Provisional Psychologists) in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) program at UniSC.
Community Counselling
The Community Counselling Clinic provides a supportive therapeutic service for community members. The Clinic’s focus is the delivery of person-centred, strengths-based counselling. Interns working at the clinic are in the final year of their undergraduate or post-graduate studies. The UniSC counselling programs are fully accredited by the Australian Counselling Association and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Education of Australia.
Tax clinic
The UniSC Tax Clinic provides free tax advice and assistance to clients from UniSC accounting students under the supervision of experienced tax professionals at UniSC Moreton Bay and UniSC Caboolture.
Thompson Institute
The Thompson Institute is a world-class facility for mental health and neurological research, teaching, advocacy and clinical services.
