Do not swim or walk in Wanggoolba Creek as it has cultural and environmental significance. Please respect this important place.

Follow a boardwalk along sparkling Wanggoolba Creek as it flows silently over white sand along the floor of a sheltered rainforest.

The freshwater creek is the lifeline for the surrounding rainforest and flows out of the water table.

Follow the boardwalk circuit of almost 1km to view this special sheltered micro-climate that houses a number of important species of flora and fauna within the protection of the surrounding forest.

See Strangler Figs, Kauri Pines, buttresses, vines, and Piccabeen Palms that grow with straight leafless trunks for 25m or more to reach the top of the forest canopy.

Search its crystal clear waterto spoteels and fish.

It is also home to a population of the magnificent Giant King Fern (Angiopteris evecta), which first appeared on earth over 400 million years ago.
