Kauri Pine
OVERVIEW
The Queensland Kauri pine or smooth-barked Kauri is a large tree growing straight and tall to a height of 30–50 m.
The Kauri was heavily logged on K'gari and few examples of mature stands exist today. Kauri pine was a timber prized in the logging days for sailing ship masts.
Botanical name: Agathis robusta
