Wandiny is a Kabi-Kabi/Gubbi-Gubbi word meaning gathering together

Wandiny is a special opportunity to listen and respond to the stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and artists. The experience will be intergenerational and intercultural as we share our journeys, using a call-and-response Dadirri (deep listening) approach.

Call: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Elders, poets, musicians and storytellers will share their stories, histories and art.

Response: Participants will have opportunities to create poetic responses.

Document: Poetry written at the event will be collected and published (with consent) in an online database and poetry anthology.
