Our award-winning Best Field Trip competition is back!
Thursday 10 April - Sunday 13 April
Bring a friend in 2025: We know the best memory is a shared memory, so each winner will be able to bring along a friend
The itinerary
A four-day rollicking adventure for year 11 and 12 students exploring world-heritage wonders and hanging out with UniSC staff and students as well as some of our sporting superstars. We've got a few extra surprises in store too, but below is a sneak peek at what our winners will experience:
Phins up
Because we’re mates with the Dolphins, you’ll get special behind-the-scenes VIP access to the Dolphins vs Panthers game at Suncorp Stadium aka the Cauldron.
Noosa
An intimate lunch with Lightning featuring a Q&A with UniSC sports experts, Australian Diamonds Captain Liz Watson and Lightning teammates Reilley Batcheldor and Cara Koenen. Followed by an afternoon of kayaking through the scenic Noosa Everglades.
Onward to K'gari
One night on the world’s most famous sand island, K'gari, an ecological treasure that our students and academics use, with the local Butchulla people, for teaching and research. Enjoy an inspiring fireside chat with Arctic Adventurer and Geotechnical Engineering academic, Adrian McCallum.

With support from our partners
It's a real-life UniSC student experience!
At UniSC students get to complete work integrated learning (WIL) as a part of almost every degree we offer. In 2025, more than 500 of our students will go on field trips to K’gari, the world’s largest sand island.
We also have some amazing partnerships such as the Dolphins NRL Team and the Sunshine Coast Lightning Suncorp Super Netball league Team where there are opportunities for students to complete placements.
