A large group of young people are reaching the half-way point of their involvement in the five-year Longitudinal Adolescent Brain Study, conducted at UniSC's Thompson Institute.

Twenty-five participants have passed the half-way point, and 39 more are fast approaching this milestone.

Almost three years into the study, the LABS research team have completed 826 brain scans across the ages of 12 to 15 years.

This means we’re well on our way to building world-first data across the dynamic brain development phase of adolescence.

The insights into youth mental health this data can reveal are extensive. This is possible thanks to the remarkable commitment our participants.
