ASIST - suicide intervention skill training

In this potentially life-changing training, you will explore how to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and how to connect with them in ways that help you understand and clarify that risk, increase their safety and link them with further help.

Two-day workshop features:

• Presentations and guidance from two LivingWorks registered trainers

• A scientifically proven intervention model

• Powerful audiovisual learning aids

• Group discussions

• Skills practice and development

• A balance of challenge and safety

Who should attend?

This training is for everyone aged 16 years or older. Virtually anyone can learn the skills to intervene and save a life from suicide. If you want to be able to help someone in need, in much the same way that you might learn CPR, please consider this training to help us create a suicide-safer Sunshine Coast.

Cost? $100 (valued at $300)

You must attend for the full two days to earn your training certificate.

Please note this is a skills training workshop, and not a therapy or support group.
