safeYARN is half-day training in how to recognise Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who are thinking about suicide and connect them to a resource who can help them choose life.

Suitable for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforces, communities and people who work within their communities.

Delivered by First Nations trainers.

Attendees will learn how to notice and respond in a culturally appropriate way to a First Nations person who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide.

Workshop features:

• Four-hour training workshop to increase suicide alertness

• Hands-on skills practice and development

• Expect to feel challenged, empowered and hopeful

• Certificate of attendance and workbooks provided

• Delivered by First Nations trainers

 

COST: Free for community thanks to government funding (value $120)
