Mathema Foundation Mathematics Scholarship

Scholarship applications for Semester 1, 2025 are now open and will close on 30 November 2024.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by close of business, 28 February 2025.

The Mathema Foundation Mathematics Scholarship will support students commencing a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) program with a Major, Minor or Extended Minor in Mathematical Sciences or Mathematical Studies for the standard duration of their program (up to a maximum of 4 years).

One (1) new scholarship will be funded each year with a total of $20,000 paid to each recipient over four (4 years of study.

Scholarships will be paid in instalments of $2,500 per semester, with payments made after census date in each semester for up to four (4) years.

Please Note:  This scholarship is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor. If funding is not available in any given year, the scholarship will not be awarded.

Eligibility
  • Commencing undergraduate student at the UniSC Moreton Bay campus
  • Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Recreation and Outdoor Environment Studies or Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts, with a Major, Minor or Extended Minor in Mathematical Sciences or Mathematical Studies
  • Permanent Resident of Australia, Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or Permanent Australian Humanitarian Visa holder
Selection criteria
  • preference will be given to a Moreton City resident enrolled as a Major in Mathematical Sciences or Mathematical Studies, however if there are no suitable applicants a minor or extended minor in Mathematical Sciences or Mathematical Studies will be considered
