Boys and Girls at the School Silent Disco
Directed by Dr. Hannah Banks, this UniSC Theatre Company production follows Year Six students from Ngaio Primary as they face emotional upheaval and conflicts during their end-of-year silent disco. The play, written by Jack McGee, captures the heightened drama and ego of preteens as they navigate friendships, heartbreak, and personal crises, with adults barely in the picture.
UniSC Theatre Company, established in 2022, stages four student-led productions annually, offering hands-on experience in performance, design, and stage management. Participation is voluntary, open to students who have completed Acting I, and includes a 6-week rehearsal process. Performances are free and open to the public.
