Melinda is a highly experienced commercial and property lawyer.

She was admitted in 2007 while working for the Public Trustee of Queensland. Melinda has worked in highly regarded law firms in Sydney and Brisbane, as an in-house solicitor for RACQ and in the Governance Team at the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.

Whilst at RACQ, Melinda was fortunate to assist in the establishment and operation of the RACQ Foundation working with organisations across Queensland as they helped to rebuild their communities following the floods.

Melinda is a Senior Associate at MacDonnells Law and has more than 15 years experiences in the areas of Governance, Commercial Transactions, Property Law and Government Advisory. She has worked with private development clients, State and Local Government, Government Owned Corporations, Property Trusts and Financiers to achieve commercial outcomes both nationally and internationally. In her professional capacity she advises Councils and business professionals throughout the Region in matters of policy, development and business growth. In her volunteer capacity she serves the community in areas of education and community development.

Melinda is also a Board Member of the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Planning and Resources Committee and the Secretary of RDA Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast.
