The University of the Sunshine Coast offers one of the best overall educational experiences in the nation, according to the latest annual Good Universities Guide.
Based on the latest graduate and student surveys, UniSC students report the highest levels of satisfaction with the overall quality of their education among Queensland's public universities.
The 2024-25 Good Universities Guide ranked UniSC second nationally for postgraduate and fourth for undergraduate educational experiences at Australia’s public universities.
UniSC is also Australia’s second-ranked public institution for the quality of its postgraduate teaching, and among the top five in the nation and first in the state for undergraduate teaching excellence.
It takes out top spot in Queensland – and is among the top three public universities nationwide – for undergraduate student support, learning resources and skills development.
Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Helen Bartlett said UniSC is committed to maintaining a five-star experience for students across key university benchmarks and is proud to foster an environment that creates enthusiastic, highly satisfied learners.
“UniSC has received five stars for teaching quality every year since 2006 and has been awarded 13 consecutive five stars for overall educational experience,” Professor Bartlett said.
“The results celebrate our talented and dedicated academics who strive to provide teaching that engages and inspires.
“They reflect our focus on ensuring our students have access to quality learning resources, and gain critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, experience and knowledge to help them create a better tomorrow for themselves, their communities and the planet.
“At UniSC, we also believe that community and culture is just as important as delivering a top-class education.
“We are pleased to again be first in Queensland and one of the best nationally for providing quality learning resources and support – from study assistance to wellbeing services and career advice,” she said.
The Good Universities Guide also ranks and compares Australia’s universities across subject areas.
In Business and Management, UniSC tops Australia’s public universities for teaching quality for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and is second for overall undergraduate educational experience.
With a focus on preparing graduates for technology jobs of the future, UniSC leads the national sector in teaching quality for Computing and Information Systems and in developing the computing and information skills of its undergraduates.
Postgraduate Computing and IT students also rated their overall educational experience as the best among Australia’s public institutions, and second for undergraduates.
Other subject area highlights include first in Australia for graduate employment outcomes for Engineering and Technology students and for the best support for Psychology students nationwide.
