USC Australia is once again offering a ‘choose your own adventure’-style online event for its annual Open Day on Sunday 18 July.
Prospective students will be able to enjoy a personalised and immersive online experience – much like USC’s innovative first virtual Open Day last year – and can register beforehand to spend more time exploring from 9am on Sunday.
Visitors will be able to access 360-degree virtual tours, videos by teaching staff, student and graduate vlogs, and step-by-step guides on how to apply for university.
USC’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students) Professor Denise Wood AM said the Open Day would provide a very convenient way for people to explore what the University has to offer.
“Visitors will gain great insights into what to expect from study and life at USC and its campuses at the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Fraser Coast, Gympie and Caboolture,” Professor Wood said.
“Prospective students and their parents can view key areas of our campuses, learn about USC’s 100-plus study programs, find out what’s involved in being a university student, and now also book an appointment for general study advice, all from their own home.
“They will be able to chat online with our staff and students and personalise their Open Day experience as they go.”
Professor Wood has encouraged people to register in advance at usc.edu.au/open-day to make the most of USC’s Open Day.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has really shifted the landscape for many people, so we are looking forward to welcoming senior high school students who are considering their study options, as well as those who are considering exciting new careers,” she said.
The online event will be followed by ‘Meet USC’ events at USC’s campuses from 11am to 2pm on Sunday 1 August. These will provide opportunities to explore learning facilities and meet lecturers and students face-to-face. Register at usc.edu.au/meet-usc
