The University of the Sunshine Coast will stage 12 graduation ceremonies over three days this week to celebrate the academic achievements of more than 1,800 graduating students.
The ceremonies will be held at the Matthew Flinders College Performance Centre on Stringybark Road, Buderim, from Wednesday to Friday.
Crowds totalling 6,000 are expected at these formal events that will feature the conferral of degrees, special awards for high-achieving students, and the presentation of an honorary doctorate to the first female Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia Susan Kiefel.
USC Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Hill said graduation ceremonies provided wonderful opportunities for the University and the wider community to celebrate the accomplishments of students.
The events will be video-streamed live on the USC website at www.usc.edu.au/graduation
