Chance to try out USC’s Executive MBA

Business professionals and entrepreneurs are invited to sample USC’s Executive Master of Business Administration degree at a ‘Try EMBA for a Day’ on Friday 19 October at the University’s main campus at Sippy Downs.

This event from 10am to 4pm is aimed at business owners and managers who want to achieve more in their careers and who, even though they have many years of business experience, might not have any study qualifications.

Event organiser Julie Flanagan said the experience could help people overcome any doubts about study, especially if they haven’t been involved in formal education for a while.

“It often helps people make the decision to study if they can assess if it’s going to be the right thing for them,” she said.

“Regardless of industry background, the day will inform and inspire business professionals who are ready to develop as leaders in their fields and also provide the opportunity to discuss study options.”

The Try EMBA for a Day will cost $30 and will include lunch and a series of bite-sized workshops taken directly from the EMBA program. These will be delivered by USC’s business academics and will enable attendees to explore ideas relevant to their careers.

Ms Flanagan said participants always took away valuable information and ideas that could be incorporated into their own businesses.

She said USC’s EMBA program provided a flexible way for business professionals to develop leadership and management skills through intensive weekend formats over two years.

“And while learning alongside like-minded professionals, there is also the opportunity in the EMBA program to participate in an international study tour,” she said.
