The science behind the outstanding performances of elite athletes will be outlined at a free public research presentation at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Monday 16 July.
The event from 6-7pm at USC’s Innovation Centre auditorium will feature keynote presentations by Sunshine Coast Lightning coach Noeline Taurua and Brisbane Roar goalkeeper Jamie Young.
It will also include a forum discussion involving these sporting greats along with USC’s High Performance Sport Director Professor Brendan Burkett, injury prevention expert Professor Caroline Finch of Edith Cowan University and Clare Dallat of the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems.
Registrations are required for this event.
The public can also attend presentations throughout Monday that will highlight the latest USC research into sport psychology, nutrition for athletes, performance analysis, injury prevention, sport management, and even media coverage of sport.
