UniSC offers three levels of English for Academic Purposes programs, from intermediate to advanced. Find out more information about the classes, entry pathways and program structure below.

UniSC's academic English intermediate programs are excellent preparation for further English language studies.
Our intermediate programs offer:
- skills to participate in seminars and lectures
- essay writing
- assessment includes assignments, reading and listening tests and an oral presentation
- use of University facilities and resources
- a certificate on course completion (if satisfactorily attended)
Successful completion will allow you to progress to upper intermediate English language programs (EAP 2).
The intermediate level programs are 10-week, full-time (20 hours per week) courses (200 hours in total).

UniSC's academic English upper intermediate programs are excellent preparation for most UniSC degree programs.
Our upper intermediate programs offer:
- academic skills and study strategies
- university style assessment items
- assignments, reading and listening tests and an oral presentation
- use of UniSC facilities and resources
- opportunities to experience a variety of lectures at UniSC
- a certificate on course completion (if satisfactorily attended)
Successful completion at the required level will allow you to progress to advanced English language programs (EAP 3) and will satisfy the minimum English language requirement for entry into most undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and some programs which have non standard English language requirements. Refer to our English language requirements for further information.
The upper intermediate programs are 10-week, full-time (20 hours per week) courses (200 hours in total).

Each English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program runs for a total number of 10 weeks (20 hours per week, 200 hours total).

All students are required to complete a comprehensive level test on arrival at UniSC, even if English test results have been supplied.

Notes
- Tuition fees are reviewed each calendar year. The fee you must pay for a given teaching block is that which has been approved by UniSC for the calendar year in which the teaching block commences.
- Any increase in tuition fees from one calendar year to the next will be no more than 7 percent.
- All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (A$).
- Tuition fees quoted do not include visa application fees.
