Program OverviewThe Bachelor of Science gives you the flexibility to package your program depending on your interests and aspirations. You can undertake science-based studies entirely within the Faculty of Science or incorporate some courses from the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences or Business. You have the opportunity to select courses in different major and minor science areas. For example, you may undertake a major, complemented by one or two minors; or you may complete a second major in a different area or a double major in the same area; or you may do three or four minors in different science areas. Program Requirements and Notes1. A minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 introductory courses may be completed, including Core Courses, in the BSc. 2. A minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 introductory Science courses (100 level) are to be included in the BSc. 3. A minimum of 14 and maximum of 18 advanced courses (200 and 300 level courses) are to be included in the BSc. 4. A minimum of 5 of the advanced courses included in the BSc must be completed from the Faculty of Science 300 level (third year) courses. 5. A maximum of 6 courses from outside the Faculty of Science (72 units), other than the Core Courses, may be included in the BSc. 6. No course may be counted towards more than one major or minor area. 7. Courses credited to a student's academic record through cross-institutional studies or as advanced standing may also count towards majors and minors where those courses are equivalent to courses listed in the relevant major or minor. 8. An introductory level course has a number less than 200 in its course code. An advanced level course has a number greater than 200 and less than 400 in its course code. 9.
