With a solid foundation in criminology and policing, Levi has been actively engaged in road safety research since 2017. His research primarily revolves around the themes of road policing, analysing driver behaviour, and examining issues related to driver impairment.
Currently, Levi's research is aimed at understanding and improving the enforcement of traffic laws on Queensland's beaches, as well as exploring how the design of police vehicles can influence human behaviour. Levi’s beach-focused research delves into uncovering the reasons for risky driving behaviours in unique driving environments. In addition, Levi is interested in examining how different markings on police vehicles affect public perceptions and whether variations in designs can have varying deterrent impacts on traffic offending.
