David Dixon is a Senior Creative Developer in Visualisation and Simulation with the CSALT team. He works closely with academic and technical staff in creating learning and teaching artefacts for immersive environments on large format displays such as the CAVE and XR applications. With a background in real-time graphics and game development he has previously taught in game art and 3D design courses. He is actively involved in in research projects using immersive technology to improve learning and teaching outcomes. David is currently exploring how spatial computing such as mixed reality can be used to optimise information processing in relation to cognitive load.
