Amanda Barnes is a part-time Associate Lecturer in the Discipline of Occupational Therapy. Since graduating in 2007, Amanda has practiced as an Occupational Therapist in Australia and the United Kingdom. Amanda has extensive experience in assessment and intervention for children and young people presenting with reduced occupational performance due to disease, disability or illness. She has worked across acute, community (government and private practice with both children and adults) and education settings.
Amanda’s special interests are in paediatrics, neurological and physical disability, hand therapy, service development, quality improvement, clinical supervision and teaching/training of students and clinicians. She is motivated to provide high quality student learning and teaching experiences at the University of Sunshine Coast.
