K'gari Research and Learning Centre

OVERVIEW

USC is one of only a few universities in the world that operates a field station in a UNESCO World Heritage site.

UniSC's K'gari Research and Learning Centre at Dilli Village generates exciting research, international collaborations and field study experiences.

Originally a sand mining camp, Dilli Village is now a research and learning centre for schools and universities and is the base for the K'gari Research and Learning Centre (Fraser Island)

Located on the eastern side of the Island, the centre is also a popular destination for family groups, day visitors and small tour groups.

Dilli Village providesaccommodation for students and staff, and access to field study sites for primary, secondary and tertiary student groups.

Researchers and groups with environmental interests in the region are encouraged to use the site.

Dilli Village is alsoa starting point for the Fraser Island Great Walk and has direct beach access across the Dilli Footbridge.
