At 122km long, it is the largest sand island in the world, with many exceptional natural wonders including:

  • Composed almost entirely of sand built up from more than 700,000 years of tidal action the world's oldest recorded dune-building sequence.

  • Diverse sand formations including massive sandblows and more than 40km of striking coloured sand cliffs.
