Description
This Japanese language course is designed for students continuing from introductory level Japanese or coming to the University with an equivalent background in Japanese. This course develops proficiency in spoken and written Japanese language as well as their understanding of Japanese society. Reading materials are extracted from a variety of sources and are appropriately abridged to match the literacy level of students. They cover a range of subjects, providing the basis for aural and oral work in the conversation classes, practice on salient grammatical forms and exposure to an extended range of Kanji (Japanese-derived characters).
