Urbanisation
ENP 255
(Offering: 2003)
Description
Humans have a greater impact upon their environment than any other species. Human activities, regardless of social or cultural setting, are performed within an environmental framework based on the natural environment and the built
environment. Almost half the worlds population live in cities with a disparity between less-developed and developed
countries. A theoretical approach to spatial organisation of urban areas is clarified by studies at international, national and regional levels. The link between urban design and development on the Sunshine Coast is considered.
