Description


This first course in a series of journalism courses examines the foundations of journalism including its place in society, journalism ethics and journalism as the 'fourth estate'. Students will be introduced to news-writing style and be encouraged to develop their awareness of current affairs and to analyse different ways issues and news are reported. They will also consider concepts of media convergence and explore similarities and differences in news reporting for print, radio, television and the World Wide Web.
