Located 31km north of the K'gari Research Station, Happy Valley has a store, fuel station, licensed bar and public phone.

There is a fenced picnic area.

The Happy Valley Resort was the first tourist resort on the Island, and was established by Maryborough's pioneering Warry family in the 1930s.
