Harold ‘Hal’ Guida has more than 35 years of international experience in architecture, interior design and urban design. He has worked on projects in Australia, the United States of America, South-East Asia and China, notably as partner-in-charge of design coordination for Australia’s Parliament House in the 1980s – now a national, iconic building in every sense. In 1994, Mr Guida worked as the Design Partner for MGT Architects, the firm commissioned to develop the master plan for a new university on the Sunshine Coast. His detailed analysis of the site and community consultation led to the creation of an environmentally sensitive master plan for the development of the entire campus across the ensuing 25 years. He and his team have since worked on reconfiguring the plan to include proposals for the adjoining town centre in Sippy Downs. Mr Guida has led design teams working on many other large scale projects, including the South Bank development in Brisbane, a $300million transit village in Sydney, and a $1billion waterfront residential and mixed use project in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
